You guys need to calm down and stop being over analytical. Micheal Phelps did not need to go anywhere near his top speed in order to beat Shaq so who cares if he added time to his swimming. This was simply a show for fun, and you should have enjoyed watching it without paying attention to every milisecond that Micheal Phelps added. Thank you have a nice day.

I thought they raced SCM. If so, the 200 IM was really good for Phelps.

I most enjoyed watching Bowman coach Shaq at Meadowbrook. (I just rejoined for the winter and they've really spruced it up.) And I liked seeing Soni, et al, race Phelps in the medley. O'Neal has developed a good relationship with the camera.

It was an entertaining show but it was obvious that Phelps put no effort into his swim just to make it a close race ,a 24 in his 50!! Phelps could easily pull off a 21 blindfolded, considering he pulled off a 19(LCM>SCY) at the Charlotte Ultra Swim. No one wants to watch Phelps beat Shaq by 5-10 seconds, which is why he didn't try. Contrary to Amanda's comments his ankle had no effect on his swim.

Also, I thought the interviewers should have interviewed the women relay racers...Rebecca Soni (Breaststroke), Dana Vollmer (Butterfly), Ariana Kukors (Backstroke). That would have been courteous to them and promote swimming all the more. I wanted to know how they felt about swimming against their own USA team-mate (Phelps). Did it motivate them all the more to swim faster, against Phelps, or did they have a conflict of interest, not wanting an outsider to beat an isider? This would have added some diversity and depth to the show.

I had a great time watching this show! I invited a bunch of my swimmer friends over (plus one friend who swims less than most cats). We had a great time.

This was just a mere 10 days after Phelps' accident, so I'm sure his ankle was still in bad shape. I'm also sure that there is NO WAY Bob Bowman would let Michael go out onto the Basketball court in a match against Shaq.....too much risk in landing wrong on those fish-fins of he has in place of feet. He has NO ankle stability whatsoever. Watch him dive in off the starting blocks.....he's a Human JELLYFISH! LOL!

And yes, Milorad Cavic does go by Michael, or "Mike", so I'm sure he was pleased to have the recognition. He's Gentleman enough to admit that being Second Place to Michael Phelps aint so bad.

I enjoyed this show so much. Far more than I thought I would. Shaq was an absolute hoot, as I expected, but it was a pleasure to see Phelps so light-hearted when he's usually completely stiff in front of cameras.

But those races were far closer than they should have been. A 24 second 50yd swim and 1:54 200yd IM are just ridiculously bad for Phelps. He's been 4 seconds and 13 seconds or so faster. You could tell from the underwater footage that he was severely hampered by his injured ankle. It was completely stiff.
