On a night where few races were won without achieving an All-American cut time, Oakton’s boys’ and girls’ teams outlasted the competition to once again stand tall as the AAA Northern Region champions. Oakton’s boys beat Woodson, 281.5 to 250, at Oakmarr RECenter, despite not winning a single event until the final relay of the night.

The high school season kicks back into gear this weekend with rivalry meets in northern Va. and heavyweight bouts in Montgomery County, featuring Madison-Langley, Robinson-Westfield, Walter Johnson-Wootton, and Churchill-B-CC. We’ll see who trained the hardest during the three week holiday break as we enter the 2012 half of the high school season.

Theresa Banks takes first PMSL Division A crown

Theresa Banks backed up its undefeated dual meet season by winning the PMSL Division A’s divisional meet on Saturday. In the NVSL, Sully Station II defeated Sully Station I in a historic matchup, and Overlee repeated as the Division 1 champ.
