Montgomery County teams will head to their first Maryland 4A-3A Swimming Championship meet on Saturday, Feb. 25. The county boasts most of the top swimmers in the state, and they have a chance to rewrite the record books this weekend. Check out RFTW's preview of this year's state meet inside.
Woodson, Yorktown, and Oakton are undefeated on both girls' and boys' sides in the Northern Region with one meet to go. Churchill, Wootton, Walter Johnson, and Whitman are battling it out in the MCPS' top division, and are looking ahead to their first Maryland states appearances.
Several Saturday meets went down to the wire in Montgomery County as the Whitman boys edged Walter Johnson by two points and Einstein squeaked past Clarksburg by four to win a key Division IV dual meet. Also included: wrap-up of Friday's Virginia AA Dulles District dual meet between Loudoun County and Freedom-South Riding and notes on Woodson's win over West Springfield.
