Maryland 4A/3A Swimming Championships; Powell sets three individual state records
Saturday, February 25th, 2012Montgomery County teams shined at this year’s Maryland 4A/3A Swimming Championship, dominating the team competition. 16 state records were broken by MCPS swimmers, as Walter Johnson’s boys and Whitman’s girls claimed their school’s first state titles.

Preview: 4A/3A Maryland Swimming & Diving Championship Meet
Thursday, February 23rd, 2012Montgomery County teams will head to their first Maryland 4A-3A Swimming Championship meet on Saturday, Feb. 25. The county boasts most of the top swimmers in the state, and they have a chance to rewrite the record books this weekend. Check out RFTW’s preview of this year’s state meet inside.

Churchill sweeps B-CC [updated with results]
Saturday, January 7th, 2012B-CC was missing some top performers on the girls side, but it would not have mattered against a dominant Churchill team who rolled in their first meet of the new year.

An early test for high school teams to start 2012
Friday, January 6th, 2012The high school season kicks back into gear this weekend with rivalry meets in northern Va. and heavyweight bouts in Montgomery County, featuring Madison-Langley, Robinson-Westfield, Walter Johnson-Wootton, and Churchill-B-CC. We’ll see who trained the hardest during the three week holiday break as we enter the 2012 half of the high school season.
