RFTW’s look at this weekend’s Va. AAA Liberty District Championship Swim & Dive Meet, taking place January 26-28 at Audrey Moore RECenter in Annandale. Will Madison’s boys and Langley’s girls be able to repeat as district champions? Or will another team step up this year and steal the crown? It’s a toss up between the top teams, but we know freshmen swimmers will be the key this year in the Liberty District.

For the second consecutive year it was Oakton who took home the Virginia AAA Northern Region title, finishing ahead of Fairfax (215), Langley (198) and Robinson (193) with 244 points. FULL RESULTS INSIDE!

Madison’s boys’ and girls’ teams took home titles in the Liberty District, W.T. Woodson’s boys’ and girls’ earned championships in the Patriot and the Oakton boys and Robinson girls won titles in the Concorde in meets around the area. FULL RESULTS INSIDE!!

Jefferson’s girls go into the regular-season finale with a perfect record on the line as the Colonials are eyeing a chance to capture their first district championship for either the boys’ or girls’ since 2006-07.
