Former All-Met swimmer of the Year Eric Friedland and former All-Met diver Matt Cooper were both part of Texas’s men’s national championship this past weekend, as the Longhorns took the team title with 500 points, ahead of Cal’s 469.5. More results inside.

Former All-Met and Olympian Kate Ziegler is seeded first in several events for this weekend’s PVS Senior Short Course Championships held at George Mason, and in some races might go up against some of the area’s top young swimmers. Five local swimmers qualified for the men’s NCAA swim championships, check out their seeds for the meet. Former All-Met Swimmer of the Year Eric Friedland is seeded third in the 200 breaststroke. Also, prepping for NCSA junior champs.
