Churchill narrowly edges Whitman at relay carnival
Monday, January 11th, 2010Montgomery County Division I swim teams returned to the pool Saturday for their first competitive action of the new year — the relay carnival at Martin Luther King Swim Center. And while the meet does not factor into team standings, the razor-thin margin that separated the top two teams definitely increased the anticipation for the upcoming county and Metros meets.
Churchill girls look to bounce back vs. Wootton
Friday, December 18th, 2009Still riding high after an upset win over perennial power Good Counsel last February at Metros, the Churchill girls came into this season loaded with talent and widely considered a top contender to repeat as Montgomery County and Metros champions. But after suffering their first defeat in two years last Saturday against Whitman, the Bulldogs will be looking to rebound this week against Wootton.
